Welcome To Jsworks Garage

What is Jsworks Garage?

Jsworks started back in 2012 as a way to chronicle our 300ZX Twin Turbo track build and feature length documentary Despite The Loss.

In 2020, with the Z32 build complete and film released worldwide, we were looking for a new way to marry our two biggest passions, filmmaking and cars, into one cohesive platform. So we relaunched Jsworks as Jsworks Garage – part speed shop and part media outlet with a passion for all things automotive.

Our Build Projects

The Jsworks Garage fox-body Mustang project.

To kick things off, we’ve got a brand new build to unveil: a 93 Calypso Green fox-body Mustang that we’re calling #ProjectMidLifeCrisis. We have a history with this particular notchback… having built the car in the late 90’s and only recently reacquired it after 20 years!

The Mustang’s seen better days, but we plan to restore the old girl and turn her into a modern day corner carver in the process (we’ll be documenting the whole build on our Jsworks Garage YouTube channel).

We’ll also revisit our Z32 track build and 1969 Mustang Restomod from the old Jsworks days via some new retrospective articles and videos highlighting the projects. And maybe even throw in some coverage from our 2016 Z-CraZies trip to Japan if you ask us nicely 😉

Do We Take On Customer Projects?

One of the things we’d like to do differently this time around is open up the garage to customer projects. We can’t tell you how many times we declined offers to wrench on people’s rides over the years. Truth be told, with our film industry obligations we just didn’t have the time… but COVID-19’s changed all that.

With the film industry shut down for the foreseeable future, we seem to have more time on our hand[s] than we know what to do with. So if you’ve got a project car in need of some love, let us know!

Are You Worthy Of A Feature Story?

Finally, we want to put our filmmaking skills to good use by creating high quality videos that feature interesting builds and shops from around our area (Northeast). So if you’ve got a build or shop you think is worthy of a feature, get at us.
